RetireReality is a web + mobile app that calculates your retirement number, then tries to break it. Instead of a single “magic” target, it runs stress tests for inflation spikes, market crashes, long-term care costs, Social Security changes, and uneven spending (kids, mortgage payoff, travel years). Users connect accounts via Plaid or enter data manually, set a retirement date, and choose a lifestyle profile. The app outputs a range: “likely safe,” “borderline,” and “not safe,” plus the top 3 levers that actually move the outcome (save more, retire later, reduce fixed costs). It’s not a robo-advisor and won’t pretend to predict markets; it focuses on scenario planning and clarity. Exportable reports make it easy to discuss with a spouse or a fee-only planner.
