RetroFitIQ
RetroFitIQ is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps building owners and facility managers prioritize decarbonization retrofits using real utility bills, basic building metadata, and local grid emissions factors. Users upload 12–24 months of electricity/gas bills (PDF/CSV), then the app models baseline energy use, estimates emissions, and generates a ranked shortlist of retrofit actions (heat pumps, controls tuning, insulation, demand response, electrified DHW, etc.) with cost ranges, payback, incentives, and operational disruption notes. It’s brutally practical: it won’t pretend to replace an engineering study, but it will quickly narrow decisions to the 3–5 upgrades worth deeper investigation. The app also tracks post-upgrade performance by comparing new bills against the baseline, flagging savings that don’t materialize. Output is a board-ready report and a contractor-friendly scope summary to reduce back-and-forth.
