ReturnPilot is a web app (with optional Shopify app wrapper) that helps mid-sized online retailers reduce return losses by preventing avoidable returns and automating smarter resolutions. It plugs into your store and shipping/returns flow, then flags high-risk orders (size uncertainty, repeat returners, fragile items, address issues) and recommends interventions: better sizing prompts, pre-purchase Q&A, packaging changes, or post-purchase nudges. When returns happen, it routes customers into the cheapest acceptable outcome: exchange, store credit, partial refund, keep-it refund, or consolidated return shipping. The AI component summarizes return reasons from tickets and reviews, clusters them into actionable product issues, and produces a weekly “fix list” for merchandising and ops. You’re not competing with Amazon; you’re helping everyone else survive margin pressure by making returns less brutal and more predictable.
