ReturnProof is a web app (with optional mobile capture) that helps e-commerce brands verify returns with lightweight evidence instead of blanket policies. It generates a “return packet” for each RMA: customer-guided photo/video prompts, timestamped condition checks, packaging confirmation, and drop-off proof. Merchants get a clear risk score and recommended action (auto-refund, inspect on arrival, partial refund, deny) based on rules plus AI-assisted anomaly detection. It integrates with Shopify and major 3PLs, and can trigger workflows: hold refunds until carrier scan, route high-risk items to inspection, or require serial/IMEI capture for electronics. The goal is to reduce costly return fraud and “wardrobing” while keeping the process fast for legitimate buyers. It’s not a magic bullet—fraudsters adapt—but it gives merchants defensible, consistent decisions and better documentation for chargebacks and disputes.
