ReturnSlot is a web app (with optional mobile-friendly portal) that lets merchants control returns by offering customers scheduled drop-off or pickup windows, similar to appointment booking. Instead of open-ended “return anytime,” shoppers choose a time slot at approved carriers/lockers or merchant pickup routes, which reduces warehouse spikes, carrier surcharges, and customer support tickets. The app generates a QR code label-less return where possible, enforces eligibility rules (condition, time since delivery, high-fraud SKUs), and nudges exchanges/store credit with incentives. For ops teams, it forecasts inbound volume by day, flags overload risk, and recommends throttling rules (e.g., fewer slots for bulky items). It integrates with Shopify and major 3PLs to pre-alert inbound shipments and reconcile refunds when scans occur. This is not glamorous, but it targets a real operational pain: unpredictable return flow and refund timing disputes.
