ReverbMap

ReverbMap is a desktop app (VST3/AU plugin + standalone) that helps sound designers quickly recreate believable room acoustics without endless impulse-response hunting. You record (or import) a short “space probe” clip—hand clap, balloon pop, starter pistol, or any transient—from a location, then ReverbMap analyzes early reflections, decay, and frequency-dependent absorption to generate a reverb profile you can apply to any dry sound. It also includes a small curated library of verified spaces (hallways, cars, bathrooms, stairwells) with metadata like mic distance and surface notes. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional DSP for the reverb engine and AI-assisted parameter estimation to infer room characteristics from imperfect recordings. It won’t magically fix terrible source audio, but it can cut hours of trial-and-error when matching ADR/foley to picture.
