ReviseTrace
ReviseTrace is a web app (with optional desktop plugin later) that focuses on the unsexy reality of editing: managing revisions across multiple stakeholders without losing intent. Instead of only flagging grammar, it creates an “edit ledger” that records what changed, why it changed, and who approved it—down to paragraph-level diffs. It supports importing Google Docs/Word exports, then generates a clean change report for authors, editors, and legal/compliance reviewers. An AI layer suggests edits and, more importantly, generates short rationales and risk notes (tone shift, ambiguity, potential liability language) so reviewers can make faster decisions. The product is built for teams that need accountability, not just nicer prose. If you’re a solo writer, it’s overkill; for organizations with review cycles, it saves hours and reduces rework.
