RevMatch
RevMatch is a web app (with optional journal/editor integrations) that helps editors and program chairs quickly shortlist qualified, available peer reviewers while reducing conflicts of interest and “reviewer roulette.” It combines traditional workflow tools with AI: it parses a manuscript’s abstract, methods, and references, then suggests reviewers based on topical fit, methodological expertise, and verified publication history. It also flags likely conflicts (recent coauthorship, same institution, advisor/advisee signals) and predicts turnaround risk using a reviewer’s historical responsiveness (opt-in) and public signals. The product is realistic: it won’t “judge” the paper; it just optimizes matching and logistics. Reviewers get a lightweight inbox to accept/decline with structured reasons, set availability, and earn a portable “review activity” profile (without exposing confidential content). The goal is fewer desk delays, fewer low-quality matches, and less editor time wasted emailing dozens of people.
