RideLotSync
RideLotSync is a mobile + web app that gives commuters a realistic, near-term view of Park-and-Ride lot availability and the best fallback options. Instead of pretending to have perfect real-time counts (which most lots can’t provide), it blends three signals: user check-ins (one-tap “I parked / I left”), passive location-based dwell detection (opt-in), and scheduled transit demand patterns. The app shows a confidence score per lot, predicted fill-up times, and the next-best alternatives with estimated drive time and transit connections. Agencies get a lightweight web dashboard to see demand hotspots and push alerts (construction closures, overflow lots, special events). The business model is B2B: sell to transit agencies, municipalities, and large employers that subsidize commuting. It’s not glamorous, but it targets the exact moment commuters get burned: arriving to a full lot and missing the train/bus.
