RightsRadar
RightsRadar is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps film festivals and programmers detect common rights and clearance problems early—before selection, scheduling, or public promotion. Festivals ingest submissions (CSV export from their submission platform or manual entry) and run a structured checklist across music, archival footage, talent releases, guild/union restrictions, territory limitations, and prior online availability. The app generates a “risk card” per film, flags missing documents, and produces standardized outreach emails to filmmakers requesting proof. It also maintains an audit trail so the festival can show due diligence if a dispute occurs. This is not a magic legal shield; it’s a workflow tool that reduces preventable mistakes and last-minute removals. An AI layer can summarize uploaded agreements and highlight missing clauses, but the core value is the disciplined process and documentation.
