RillWatch

RillWatch is a mobile + web app for field teams who need defensible, repeatable evidence of erosion and sediment movement without buying expensive survey gear. Users set up “transects” (fixed photo points) with GPS, compass heading, and optional QR marker targets. On each visit, the app guides them to the same spot and angle, captures standardized photos, and produces side-by-side comparisons plus simple change metrics (area-of-exposed-soil estimates, bankline shift approximations) with confidence notes. A lightweight AI model helps align images, flag major changes, and auto-generate a short site report for regulators or clients. It’s not a replacement for LiDAR or professional surveys; it’s a practical monitoring tool for frequent checks, documentation, and early warning. Data exports to CSV/PDF and integrates with common GIS workflows so teams can act before small issues become expensive failures.
