RingProof

RingProof is a mobile + web app that helps engagement-ring shoppers reduce the risk of overpaying or buying misrepresented stones. Users upload a GIA/IGI report, listing photos, and (optionally) a short 360° video from the seller. The app parses the certificate, flags inconsistencies (e.g., report number formatting, mismatched proportions, suspicious pricing vs comps), and generates a plain-English “risk and value” summary. For higher confidence, RingProof offers a paid remote verification workflow: the seller is asked to provide specific photos under defined lighting, a loupe shot, and a scale reading; the app checks compliance and records an audit trail. It won’t magically authenticate a diamond from photos alone—so it clearly labels confidence levels and pushes users toward independent appraisal when needed. Monetization: consumer subscription + per-verification fees + affiliate leads to vetted appraisers.
