RipenRadar is a mobile app that helps households manage fresh produce by predicting when items will be ready to eat and when they’ll spoil. You scan a receipt or select items from a quick list, then log simple context (counter vs fridge, bagged vs loose). The app generates a day-by-day “eat next” queue, nudges you before produce turns, and suggests fast recipes based on what’s about to expire. It also tracks what you throw away to identify repeat waste patterns (e.g., “you buy cilantro weekly but use 30%”). This is not magic: predictions are probabilistic and improve with your feedback (“still hard,” “already soft”). The goal is practical guidance, not perfect freshness detection. Monetization is a low-cost subscription with optional grocery-store affiliate links for replenishment.
