RitualDelay

RitualDelay is a mobile app (with an optional web dashboard) for people with OCD who get stuck in compulsions and reassurance loops. The core is a “Delay Ladder”: when an urge hits, the app guides you to delay the ritual in small increments (30 seconds, 2 minutes, 5 minutes), log the anxiety curve, and choose a pre-written response prevention script. It also includes a “Reassurance Firewall” that blocks sending repetitive reassurance texts to selected contacts for a short window, replacing it with coping prompts and a quick check-in. A simple weekly report shows time-to-ritual trends, top triggers, and what actually helped. This is not therapy and won’t replace ERP, but it can make ERP homework more consistent and measurable between sessions. Privacy is first-class: local-first logs with optional encrypted sync.
