RoadkillIQ
RoadkillIQ is a mobile + web citizen-science app that helps communities and conservation groups map wildlife-vehicle collisions (WVCs) with evidence-grade data. Users snap a photo, the app auto-captures GPS/time/speed context, and an AI model suggests species and confidence. Submissions are de-duplicated, flagged for review, and routed to the right local authority or partner NGO. On the web dashboard, agencies can see hotspot heatmaps, seasonal trends, and before/after impact of signage, fencing, or speed changes. The app also supports “safe reporting” mode (hands-free voice prompts, delayed upload) to reduce distracted driving. The realistic value: most WVC data is fragmented, inconsistent, and not actionable; this product focuses on standardization and decision-ready outputs rather than just collecting sightings.
