RoamProof

RoamProof is a mobile + desktop app for validating enterprise Wi‑Fi roaming (802.11k/v/r) in real buildings, not in vendor demos. You run guided walk tests with one or more phones while a lightweight desktop agent pulls controller/AP telemetry. The app correlates client-side events (RSSI, BSSID changes, roam time, DHCP delays, captive portal hits, voice call MOS if enabled) with infrastructure logs to pinpoint why roaming fails: sticky clients, bad band steering, mis-set minimum data rates, channel overlap, or misconfigured fast transition. It outputs a simple “Roaming Readiness Score” per SSID and per area, plus a punch-list of configuration changes and where to place/retune APs. Brutal reality: it won’t replace professional surveys, but it can catch the top 80% of roaming issues quickly and repeatedly, especially after changes or new deployments.
