RoamRelay

RoamRelay is a mobile app that keeps you online by intelligently switching between Wi‑Fi and cellular based on real, measured performance—not just signal bars. It runs lightweight background tests (latency, packet loss, captive portal detection) and automatically routes your traffic through the most reliable path, with an optional secure tunnel for sketchy public networks. Users can set rules like “prefer low-latency for calls,” “cap cellular usage,” or “never use open Wi‑Fi without protection.” A simple dashboard shows which networks actually perform well at your usual locations, and it can warn you when a Wi‑Fi network is likely broken (DNS issues, captive portal loops) before you waste time. This is not magic: it can’t create coverage where none exists, and OS restrictions limit some automation on iOS, but it can materially reduce dropouts and time wasted troubleshooting connectivity.
