RoomTrace is a desktop app (with an optional mobile companion) that helps audio creators quickly calibrate and validate spatial audio mixes for real-world listening spaces. Instead of assuming an ideal studio, it guides users through a short measurement routine using a phone mic (basic) or an affordable USB measurement mic (better). It then simulates how your binaural/spatial mix collapses or shifts in common environments—bedroom, living room, untreated office—highlighting localization errors, phase issues, and low-end masking that ruin “3D” perception. The app outputs actionable fixes: suggested EQ nodes, early-reflection damping tips, and exportable correction profiles for popular DAWs. It’s not magic: it won’t replace proper acoustic treatment, but it will prevent the most common spatial-audio failures before you ship content to headphones, soundbars, or VR headsets.
