RoostRadar

RoostRadar is a mobile + web app that helps birders and nature centers decide when and where to watch migration in the next 6–24 hours. It blends public weather models, radar-derived migration intensity, and recent community sightings into a single “go/no-go” forecast for your exact location. Users get a simple nightly score, peak time window, suggested viewing spots (parks, ridgelines, shorelines), and a short explanation of what’s driving movement (wind, pressure, cloud ceiling). It also supports “quiet mode” notifications so you only get alerts when conditions are truly exceptional. This is not a scientific research platform; it’s a practical decision tool for normal people who don’t want to interpret radar loops and weather maps every evening. Monetization is a freemium subscription for advanced forecasts, saved locations, and group dashboards for clubs.
