RotorGuard

RotorGuard is a web + mobile monitoring and maintenance app for industrial flywheel energy storage systems. It ingests high-frequency vibration, temperature, vacuum pressure, bearing current, and power electronics telemetry from existing PLC/SCADA historians, then turns it into actionable health scores and maintenance work orders. The app focuses on the unglamorous reality: most flywheel downtime is driven by bearings, vacuum integrity, imbalance, and controls issues—not “optimization.” RotorGuard provides threshold + trend alarms, component-level degradation tracking, and a simple root-cause workflow (what changed, when, and likely why). It also includes a parts-and-service log so operators can correlate failures with vendor swaps, lubricants, firmware changes, and operating regimes. An AI layer can suggest likely failure modes and recommended checks, but the core value works without it. The goal is fewer surprise trips, faster troubleshooting, and defensible maintenance planning.
