RouteGuardian
RouteGuardian is a mobile + web AI app that predicts and explains safety risk on specific transit routes, stations, and time windows. Instead of generic “crime maps,” it blends official incident feeds (when available), service alerts, lighting/visibility proxies, foot-traffic patterns, and anonymized user check-ins to produce a simple “risk now” score with plain-language reasons (e.g., low staffing, recent assaults, repeated harassment reports). Users can set commute routines and get proactive nudges: safer car position suggestions, alternative stops, or “wait 8 minutes” recommendations when risk spikes. A one-tap “I’m okay / I need help” flow shares live location and trip context with chosen contacts, not the public. The product is realistic about data gaps: it labels confidence levels and avoids pretending to be perfect. Monetization is B2B2C: sell dashboards and API access to employers, campuses, and property managers who subsidize safer commuting for their people.
