RouteHandoff
RouteHandoff is a mobile + web app that bridges consumer navigation (Google Maps/ForeFlight-style planning) with supported marine and light-aircraft autopilots by turning a planned route into a validated, device-specific flight/track plan. It focuses on the unsexy but critical parts: format conversions, waypoint limits, turn-radius constraints, speed/altitude restrictions, and geofence checks (airspace, hazards, no-go zones). The app generates a “handoff package” that can be pushed via approved channels (Bluetooth/Wi‑Fi/SD card/export) and includes a pre-flight checklist, risk flags, and a clear “what the autopilot will actually do” preview. It also logs the executed track for debrief and compliance. This is an AI + traditional app: AI helps detect route issues and suggest safer alternatives, but the core value is reliable interoperability and validation rather than magical autonomy.
