RouteHound

RouteHound is a mobile app (with a lightweight web dashboard) that helps guide and assistance dog teams plan routes that actually work in the real world. It maps curb cuts, tactile paving, elevator outages, construction detours, blocked sidewalks, dog relief areas, and “known bad” entrances. Users can report hazards in seconds with a photo, quick tags, and optional voice notes; reports expire unless re-confirmed to keep data fresh. The app suggests alternative paths optimized for accessibility and predictability, not just shortest distance. A small AI layer clusters duplicate reports, flags likely stale items, and prioritizes verification requests to nearby users. The web dashboard is for partner orgs (guide dog schools, disability services offices) to monitor hotspots and export reports to municipalities. This is not a legal-access app; it’s a practical navigation and hazard intelligence tool.
