RouteReplay
RouteReplay is a desktop + web app for robotics teams who waste days guessing why a robot’s path planner failed. It ingests ROS/ROS2 bags and planner logs, reconstructs the world state over time (maps, costmaps, dynamic obstacles), and lets you scrub a timeline to see exactly when the planner diverged. It automatically flags common failure patterns: stale transforms, costmap inflation issues, oscillation, unreachable goals, poor heuristic tuning, and dynamic obstacle misclassification. The MVP focuses on Nav2/MoveIt2 compatibility and produces shareable “incident reports” with plots, parameter diffs, and a minimal repro configuration. This is not a new planner; it’s a debugging and observability layer that makes existing planners shippable. Realistically, teams will only pay if it saves engineering time immediately and integrates with their current stack without forcing a rewrite.
