RouterGuard
RouterGuard is a mobile + web app (traditional app with light AI) that monitors your home network to identify every connected smart-home device, flag suspicious behavior, and help you quarantine or block it in one tap. It focuses on the real weak point in home automation: the Wi‑Fi/LAN layer where unknown devices, outdated firmware, and misconfigured hubs quietly create risk and instability. The app uses local network discovery plus router integrations to build an accurate device inventory, then applies anomaly detection to highlight unusual traffic patterns (e.g., a camera uploading at odd hours, a “new” device appearing, or a device phoning home to unfamiliar domains). It also provides simple “automation hygiene” tools: network segmentation guidance, guest network enforcement, and reminders when devices haven’t been seen or updated. This is not a full smart-home controller; it’s a safety and reliability layer that works across brands.
