RubricForge

RubricForge is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps educators and instructional designers generate, adapt, and maintain high-quality assessment rubrics tied to learning objectives and standards. You paste in your course outcomes (or import from LMS), pick a performance scale, and the app drafts rubric criteria, level descriptors, and common misconceptions. It then runs a consistency check to flag vague language, misaligned criteria, and “grade-inflation” descriptors that don’t distinguish levels. A versioning system tracks changes across semesters and lets teams comment and approve updates, reducing the messy spreadsheet/email loop. Export to Canvas/Google Classroom-friendly formats and PDF. This is a combination app: traditional workflow + AI drafting and quality checks. It’s not magic—someone still needs to review—but it reliably cuts rubric creation time and improves clarity, which directly reduces grading disputes and student confusion.
