RuleDiff

RuleDiff is a web app (with optional email/Slack alerts) that monitors selected government and regulator sources and shows exactly what changed between versions of a rule, guidance, or form. Instead of dumping users into long PDFs and Federal Register pages, it captures snapshots, runs a redline-style diff, and summarizes impact by topic (definitions, reporting thresholds, deadlines, penalties). Users can map changes to an internal control list and assign owners to review and acknowledge updates, creating a lightweight audit trail. This is an AI + traditional app: AI helps extract structure from messy documents and generate plain-language summaries, while deterministic diffing and source archiving keep it defensible. It’s realistic because most compliance teams don’t need a full GRC suite—they need faster awareness and proof they reviewed changes, without paying enterprise prices or spending weeks manually comparing documents.
