RuleSnap

RuleSnap is a mobile app (with optional web companion) that helps players resolve board-game rules disputes in seconds. You scan the relevant rulebook page or card text, then ask a plain-language question like “Can I play this after drawing?” The app returns a short answer, cites the exact sentence it used, and shows a confidence level. It also supports quick “house rule” notes per game and a shared game-night log so your group stays consistent. This is an AI + traditional app: AI handles search, citation, and Q&A; the traditional layer manages libraries, sharing, and offline access. Brutal reality: this only works if answers are reliably grounded in the rule text and if scanning is fast; otherwise users will abandon it. The MVP should focus on a small set of popular games and excellent citation accuracy.
