RuleTrail is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps policy teams, regulated businesses, and advocacy groups monitor delegated legislation (agency rules, statutory instruments, ministerial orders) across selected jurisdictions. It aggregates notices, consultations, draft instruments, final publications, commencement dates, and amendment chains into a single timeline per rule. Users can subscribe to topics, agencies, and enabling Acts, then receive alerts when a rule changes status or when deadlines (consultation close, effective date) approach. The app includes an AI-assisted “impact brief” that summarizes what changed, who is affected, and which obligations likely apply—while linking every claim back to the source text to reduce hallucination risk. Realistically, the hardest part is data coverage: start with 1–2 jurisdictions with reliable feeds/APIs, then expand as partnerships and scraping reliability improve.
