RumorLedger is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that helps organizations monitor fast-moving misinformation by turning “claims” into trackable records. Users paste a post URL or text, and the app extracts the core claim, identifies where it appeared first, and builds a timeline of reposts, edits, and debunks. It assigns a confidence score based on source credibility signals, cross-source corroboration, and whether reputable fact-checkers or primary documents exist. Teams can add internal notes, attach evidence, and publish a short “claim status” card for staff or the public. The product is designed for comms teams and newsrooms that need to respond quickly without overreacting. It won’t magically determine truth; it helps you document what’s known, what’s missing, and how the narrative is spreading so decisions are auditable.
