RunbookBot
RunbookBot is a web + desktop agent that converts messy internal runbooks (Confluence pages, Markdown, Google Docs) into guarded automation scripts and one-click workflows. It focuses on ops tasks that are repetitive but risky: log collection, service restarts, cache clears, database read-only toggles, and incident triage steps. The product doesn’t pretend to be fully autonomous; it generates scripts with explicit approvals, environment checks, and rollback steps, then runs them through a local agent with least-privilege credentials. Teams get versioned “automation packs” tied to tickets and change windows, with audit logs and diffable script output. The goal is to reduce human error and speed up incident response without requiring a full platform rewrite or adopting heavyweight RPA. It’s realistic for SMBs and mid-market teams that already have runbooks but lack time to engineer proper automation.
