RunbookRelay

RunbookRelay is a monitoring-to-control web app that turns alerts into controlled, auditable actions. Instead of just paging people, it lets teams attach “action buttons” to specific alert types (restart a service, scale a deployment, clear a queue, rotate a feature flag) and execute them through pre-approved runbooks. It integrates with common alert sources (Prometheus/Alertmanager, Datadog, CloudWatch) and executes actions via connectors (Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform Cloud, GitHub Actions). Every action requires policy checks (who, what, when, environment) and optional two-person approval to prevent “panic clicking.” The product is not trying to replace existing monitoring; it sits on top and closes the loop from detection to remediation. Realistically, the hardest part is earning trust: you’ll need strong guardrails, great audit trails, and a narrow initial scope to avoid being seen as risky automation.
