RunbookSentry
RunbookSentry is a web app (with optional Slack/Teams integration) that keeps operational runbooks accurate by continuously validating them against real infrastructure and recent incidents. Teams paste or import runbooks from Markdown, Confluence, or Git, then define “proof checks” (commands, API calls, log queries) that confirm each step still works. When a check fails—an endpoint changed, a CLI flag deprecated, a Kubernetes label renamed—the app opens a pull request with suggested edits and flags the runbook as stale. It also links runbooks to alerts and services so on-call engineers see the right procedure instantly. This is an AI + traditional app: AI drafts updates and summaries, but deterministic checks decide pass/fail. It won’t replace good SRE practices, but it will reduce the common failure where the runbook is outdated exactly when you need it.
