RunbookSentry

RunbookSentry is a web app (with optional Slack/Teams integration) that detects when operational runbooks are drifting out of date. It connects to your incident system (PagerDuty/Opsgenie), ticketing (Jira/ServiceNow), and docs (Confluence/Notion/Git) and watches for signals like repeated incident types, changed service ownership, new dependencies, or postmortem action items. It then creates targeted “runbook update tasks,” highlights the exact sections likely wrong, and enforces lightweight review/approval workflows. An AI assistant can summarize recent incidents and propose edits, but humans must approve before publishing. The goal is not to replace documentation; it’s to stop the slow rot that makes runbooks useless at 2 a.m. Reporting shows runbook coverage by service, time-since-validated, and which teams are accruing the most operational documentation debt.
