RuralRelay

RuralRelay is a mobile + web app that helps communities and small ISPs measure real-world connectivity and turn it into evidence that regulators and funders accept. Residents run lightweight tests (latency, throughput, packet loss, jitter) that automatically tag location, time, device type, and network (cell/Wi‑Fi). The system flags suspicious or low-quality samples, aggregates results into coverage-gap maps, and generates exportable reports aligned to common grant and universal-service requirements. For operators, it provides a task queue to validate problem areas, schedule drive tests, and track remediation progress. This is not a magical “fix rural internet” app; it’s a practical data pipeline that reduces the cost and friction of proving where service is actually bad, which is the step that often blocks money and build decisions.
