SafeBatch

SafeBatch is a mobile app (with an optional web dashboard) that lets parents and childcare providers instantly check whether a specific baby product is affected by a recall, safety notice, or compliance issue—based on the actual batch/lot number, barcode, and manufacturer data. You scan a barcode, snap a photo of the lot code, and the app matches it against aggregated recall feeds (CPSC, Health Canada, EU RAPEX where available) plus manufacturer bulletins. It then tells you clearly: “not affected,” “affected—stop use,” or “unknown—needs verification,” with plain-language steps and a one-tap way to notify your daycare’s parent list. It also keeps a private inventory of your high-risk items (car seats, cribs, formula, bottles, monitors) and pings you only when something in your inventory changes status. It’s not magic: coverage depends on data quality, so the app shows confidence levels and sources.
