SafePair

SafePair is a mobile app that reduces driver distraction by automatically switching your phone into a “drive-safe” mode when it detects vehicle motion via Bluetooth/CarPlay/Android Auto connection and sensor fusion. It silences non-urgent notifications, blocks tempting apps, and replies to messages with a customizable auto-response. For safety and accountability, it generates a simple post-drive report (time driving, pickups detected, calls taken) that users can keep private or share with a parent/employer policy. It’s realistic: it won’t magically stop all distraction, and it can be bypassed if someone really wants to. The value is making the safe choice the default with minimal setup and low friction. It also includes an emergency override and a passenger mode to reduce false positives.
