SafeRouteQR is a mobile + web app for transport operators to enforce route, rest-stop, and hazard compliance without expensive telematics. Dispatch creates a trip plan (approved route segments, mandatory breaks, known risk zones, site rules) and generates QR checkpoints for yards, depots, customer gates, and rest areas. Drivers scan at departure/arrival and key stops; the app time-stamps, geo-verifies, and prompts a short safety checklist (fatigue, load securement, weather, incidents). If a scan is missed or a high-risk zone is entered, supervisors get an alert and can call the driver. It’s not “big brother” continuous tracking—more like auditable proof of safety-critical steps. Reports help prove due diligence for insurers and regulators and identify recurring risky locations. Realistically, it works best for fleets with predictable routes and cooperative sites willing to place QR codes.
