SafeSideline

SafeSideline is a mobile + web app for women athletes to document and report harassment, abuse, discrimination, and unsafe coaching in sports environments—without immediately risking retaliation. Athletes can create time-stamped incident logs (notes, photos, audio), store them securely, and choose when/where to share: to a club admin, governing body, school Title IX office, or an external safeguarding partner. The app includes a vetted directory of local resources (legal aid, counseling, athlete advocates) and a “trusted circle” feature to automatically notify chosen contacts if an incident occurs. It also offers anonymous trend reporting for teams/clubs so leadership can see patterns without exposing individuals. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI helps categorize incidents, suggest next steps, and draft clear, factual reports, but the athlete stays in control of what’s submitted.
