SafeSignal

SafeSignal is a mobile + web app that lets students report bullying or safety concerns anonymously, while giving schools a structured, auditable workflow to respond. Students can submit a short report, attach screenshots/photos, choose location/time, and optionally request a counselor check-in without revealing identity. On the school side, staff get a triage inbox with severity scoring, duplicate detection, and templated response steps aligned to district policy. The app includes a lightweight “trusted adults” directory and a one-tap “I need help now” button that routes to designated staff during school hours (and to crisis resources after hours). This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI helps categorize reports, flag urgent language, and reduce prank/spam submissions, but humans make decisions. Realistically, adoption depends on school buy-in and clear policies—without that, it’s just another unused reporting tool.
