SailGuard

SailGuard is a mobile + web app that turns a boat’s existing NMEA 2000/Signal K data into practical, early-warning maintenance alerts. Instead of raw gauges and endless dashboards, it focuses on the few failures that actually strand sailors: battery/charging problems, overheating, bilge pump anomalies, fuel usage oddities, and unexpected power draw at anchor. Users connect via a small gateway (or an existing Wi‑Fi multiplexer) and get simple health scores, trend graphs, and “what to check next” steps. It also generates a shareable “pre-passage readiness” checklist based on recent sensor behavior, not generic advice. This is not magic: it won’t predict every failure, and it won’t replace a mechanic. But it can catch the common, expensive surprises earlier and reduce anxiety for owners who aren’t marine electricians.
