SalinityQA

SalinityQA is a web + desktop app that automatically audits oceanographic time-series and profile data (salinity, temperature, oxygen, chlorophyll) before it enters your pipeline. Users upload common formats (CSV, NetCDF), select instrument type (CTD, glider, mooring, underway), and the app runs a transparent set of QC checks: spike detection, sensor drift flags, density inversion checks, climatology bounds, and cross-sensor consistency (e.g., T/S stability). It outputs a QC report, flagged segments, suggested corrections (never auto-applied), and exports a “clean + flags” file compatible with typical workflows. This is not glamorous: it’s a productivity tool for labs and agencies drowning in messy data and inconsistent manual QC. The app focuses on repeatability, audit trails, and team review so results can survive scrutiny in publications, regulatory reporting, and operational forecasting.
