SanctionMap
SanctionMap is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for probation departments to standardize responses to technical violations and reduce arbitrary outcomes. Officers log a violation event, context (risk level, prior compliance, treatment attendance), and available local resources. The system generates a policy-aligned recommendation ladder (verbal warning, increased reporting, treatment referral, short jail stay, etc.) and produces a court-ready narrative that cites the department’s sanction grid and supervision conditions. It also tracks outcomes (reoffense, missed appointments, program completion) so leadership can see which sanctions actually improve compliance. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI is used only for drafting narratives and summarizing case history, while the decision logic remains rule-based and auditable. Realistically, the hardest part is change management and getting agencies to adopt a consistent grid across officers and judges.
