SanghaBuddy

SanghaBuddy is a mobile + web app that helps people actually stick to Buddhist meditation by connecting them to verified local and online sanghas, teachers, and structured practice commitments. Instead of yet another timer and generic mindfulness library, it focuses on accountability: you pick a tradition (Theravada, Zen, Tibetan, secular), set a realistic weekly commitment, and join a small practice pod that meets on video or in-person. The app includes a simple meditation timer, session check-ins, and a “practice log” designed around Buddhist framing (intention, obstacles, reflections) rather than productivity guilt. Teacher pages show lineage/training, style, pricing, and community reviews. It’s not trying to replace teachers; it’s a directory + commitment layer that reduces drop-off and helps newcomers avoid random, low-quality content. Monetization: subscription for pods and premium discovery; optional teacher lead fees.
