SatSwitch is a mobile + router companion app that detects real-time satellite link degradation and automatically shifts critical traffic to a backup connection (LTE/5G hotspot, dual-WAN router, or a secondary ISP) before users notice. It focuses on what satellite users actually hate: sudden latency spikes, jitter, and brief dropouts that ruin calls, VPNs, and remote work. The app runs lightweight tests (DNS, TCP handshake, jitter sampling) and uses simple rules plus optional AI-based prediction to trigger failover only when it matters, avoiding constant flapping. It also tags events with local conditions (device location, time, Wi‑Fi strength) and produces a plain-English “why it happened” report you can share with IT or your household. This is not a generic speed test; it’s a reliability layer that keeps sessions alive and prioritizes the apps you care about.
