SBTGapScan is a web app (with optional spreadsheet add-in) that helps sustainability and finance teams pre-check whether their emissions inventory, boundaries, and target math are likely to pass common science-based target expectations before they pay for validation or burn months in back-and-forth. Users upload activity data exports (ERP, utility bills, travel, freight, cloud) or connect via APIs, then map sources to Scope 1/2/3 categories. The app runs a rules-based and AI-assisted “gap scan” that flags missing categories, inconsistent organizational boundaries, suspect emission factors, double counting, and target trajectories that don’t align with typical sector pathways. It outputs a prioritized remediation checklist, evidence requests for auditors, and a board-ready summary of risks, assumptions, and confidence levels. It’s not a full carbon accounting platform; it’s a pre-validation triage tool designed to sit on top of whatever system the company already uses.
