ScaleSnap3D

ScaleSnap3D is a mobile + web app that helps sculptors and 3D artists create accurate, real-world scale references from ordinary phone photos. Users place a known-size marker (credit card, printed checker, or AR marker) next to an object, then capture a few angles. The app auto-detects the marker, estimates camera pose, and generates a scaled reference package: orthographic-like image planes, a rough proxy mesh, and dimension callouts (height/width/depth). It exports directly to Blender/ZBrush as image planes and a simple mesh guide, reducing the common “my proportions are off” problem when modeling from photos. This is not a magic photogrammetry replacement; it’s a pragmatic scaling and proportion tool that trades perfect detail for speed, reliability, and correct measurements. Monetization: freemium exports + pro subscription for higher-res, batch projects, and team libraries.
