ScanSecond
ScanSecond is a web + desktop AI app that plugs into existing PACS/RIS workflows to provide a rapid “second set of eyes” on common, high-risk misses (e.g., pneumothorax on CXR, intracranial hemorrhage on CT head, pulmonary embolism on CTPA). It does not replace the radiologist; it highlights suspicious regions, assigns a confidence score, and generates a short, editable note explaining why the case is flagged. The product focuses on operational reality: minimal clicks, clear audit trails, and configurable thresholds to avoid alert fatigue. It also includes a lightweight QA dashboard that tracks discordance between AI flags and final reports to help departments monitor performance and justify continued use. Expect regulatory and validation work to be non-trivial; the MVP should start as “research/QA mode” rather than a diagnostic claim.
