SceneScout

SceneScout is a mobile + web app for indie filmmakers and small production teams to quickly discover, vet, and book real-world filming locations without spending weeks on Instagram DMs and cold calls. It combines a curated location marketplace with practical production details: noise levels by time of day, parking/load-in notes, power availability, neighbor sensitivity, and a simple “permit readiness” checklist by city. Hosts (homeowners, small businesses, warehouses, event spaces) can list spaces with clear rules, blackout dates, and pricing for photo/film use. Filmmakers can request holds, message hosts, generate a basic location agreement, and track insurance/COI requirements. This won’t replace professional location managers on big sets, but it can realistically save days for low-budget shoots where time is the most expensive line item.
