SceneSift

SceneSift is a mobile + web app that lets you search within TV episodes by what you remember, then jumps you to the right timestamp on the streaming service you already use. Type “the courtroom rant” or “blue dress at the gala,” and SceneSift returns likely matches with episode, timestamp ranges, and confidence. It works by indexing subtitles/closed captions and publicly available metadata, then layering AI-based semantic search on top. Users can save “scene bookmarks,” share deep links (episode + time), and build personal highlight reels without rewatching entire seasons. The business model is a subscription for power users and a free tier with limited searches. This is not a magic “universal player”; it’s a discovery and recall tool that reduces the biggest time-waster in TV fandom: hunting for moments you half-remember.
